Trevor Vance

Co-Founder & CEO

Trevor Vance serves as the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of VanceMitchem Public Affairs. He addresses the needs of the firm's clients by using his several years of political experience by focusing on policy development, procurement, and legislative lobbying in the state legislative arena.

Trevor has over 25 years experience representing issues ranging from energy, financial institutions, environmental regulations, worker classification, as well as matters affecting food and beverage manufacturers in the legislative and regulatory realms. The Indiana Society of Association Executives honored Trevor with its Award of Excellence in Government Affairs for his efforts in the past on client advocacy efforts.

Prior to his stint as a Principal at Bose Public Affairs Group, Trevor served eight years as the Manager of State Affairs for the Indiana Statewide Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives, Inc. In this position, he represented the association and its 39 independent member systems before the Indiana General Assembly and various state agencies.

​

Before working for Indiana’s rural electrics, Trevor spent several years in a leadership role at the Indiana House of Representatives. In this role, he was responsible for the coordination of several other caucus staff members representing 53 state representatives’ legislative offices. He was also personally responsible for the direct management of the offices of House Chairmen for the Commerce and Utilities Committee, Courts and Criminal Code Committee, Natural Resources Committee, and Environmental Affairs Committee.

Trevor earned his Bachelor of Science in political science, with a concentration in pre-law, from the University of Indianapolis. Trevor has served on the Board of Governors for the Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana (GASI). He also serves on the board of directors for the Youth Enhancement and Training Initiative (YETI).
